Hair, Blemish & Mole Removal
Minor Cosmetic Procedure: Blemish Removal
Once your skin blemish is removed… you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!
As a qualified higher level advanced electrologist I target and eliminate skin imperfections with precision high frequency electrosurgery method, a long established, proven, safe and reliable method of blemish removal. Skin lesions such as skin tags, facial capillaries, milia, warts, cherry angioma, seborrheic keratosis, plus more are easily treated with outstanding results and usually with just one appointment.
Higher level advanced electrologists as well as proficient electrolysis practitioners are a rare find. I gained the esteemed Advanced Electrolysis Diploma through BAE (now the British Institute and Association of Electrolysis), a quality assurance standard in the industry and a pre-requisite that allowed me to work from within a medical practice.
Hair removal from within a mole or mole shrinkage is available, however mole treatments are to strictly only proceed with written GP consent. Please contact Tamara for the approved consent form.
Please book an initial consultation appointment to discuss treatment options & pricing. Blemish removal treatments start at £65.
Permanent Hair Removal: Electrolysis
Electrolysis still stands as the only medically approved method of permanent hair removal and is supported by the FDA, BMA and AAA.
Electrolysis is suitable for all shades of hair and skin and multiple areas of the body. The face, breast, tummy, bikini and underarms are particularly popular areas requested. Perhaps you just have a hair or two or perhaps want to permanently remove hairs remaining from laser treatments.
This time-tested and secure approach eliminates unwanted hair permanently. A series of electrolysis sessions will capture the hair in its active stage of growth, freeing you from the need for alternative methods of hair removal
During the procedure, a very fine disposable probe is skilfully placed alongside the hair into the hair follicle, where a mild localised current is applied to denature the cells that are responsible for hair growth, resulting in unwanted hairs permanently gone.
Whether you have 1 hair or many unwanted hairs, electrolysis is a safe and proven method that significantly contributes to enhanced self-esteem and confidence.

The area to be treated needs to be clean, healthy and happy
Generally patients do not use any medico skin preparations on the area leading up to or immediately before the appointment. If you feel the need to apply a mild analgesic cream before you arrive then we can discuss beforehand.

This will be discussed at consultation and dependant on your requirements. Potentially many skin blemishes such as skin tags, milia, red blood spots require just one appointment and if you have several small ones then multiple can be treated in the 15 minute time frame.
Some larger types of skin blemishes such as seb mole reduction may require more than one treatment, a gradual process of shrinkage to the overgrowth of tissue is observed.
If preferred, longer appointments can be booked should you have multiple sites and blemishes.
-
Multiple sites of the body and multiple lesions can be treated, my experience is seborrheic warts often present on the face and torso, cherry angioma on the trunk, skin tags are particularly common near the eyes, neck, under the arm, torso, groin. warts at the extremities. Milia, xanthelasma and syringoma around the eyes, moles on the face and body.

Depending on your skin type and the type of blemish treated after care will be personal to you.
For example, some blemishes will either be removed immediately, or dry up, change colour, shrink and fall away after a few days.
I will provide aftercare instructions and aftercare product where required post-procedure.
-
Written consent from a GP is required prior to the treatment appointment.
-
Electrolysis is in fact the only permanent method of hair removal. Unlike blemish removal, electrolysis permanent hair removal requires a series of treatments.

When it comes to the number of treatments required, this can vary from person to person. Several sessions may be required to capture the hair in its active anlagen phase and it won’t take long before you start to see results.
